We offer Princess Ballerina Classes for ages 2-6 that feature fresh and fun themes that change monthly.
Our Leveled Dance Classes for ages 7 and up include Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Hip Hop, Contemporary, Pointe, and Technique.
Our Acro and Gymnastics program is for ages 2 and up and focuses on strength, flexibility, and tumbling.
We also offer special sessions for Adults throughout the year as well as our weekly Adult Combo Dance class.
We are committed to providing a positive experience for everyone, whether it is your first year, or your tenth year with us.
Our mission is to provide quality dance, acro and gymnastics training in a positive, nurturing, and fun environment. We work hard to give our students and their families a great experience.
Our students learn essential life skills like teamwork and respect and strive to make your time with us a memorable one that will help our students both on and off the dance floor or the gymnastics mats.
Meet our owner
Naomi Davis started her dance career in 2003 when she found her passion and love for dance at The Dance Centre. She had the unique opportunity to train under the directors Kelly Fischer and Lindsay Baker, former owners of The Dance Centre. During high school, she was accepted into the Governor School for the Arts program in 2007. After graduating high school, Naomi continued her training at Eastern Kentucky University in Richmond under the instruction of Marianne McAdam and Sara Downs.
Naomi graduated from EKU in the spring of 2013 with a BFA in Visual Arts and a minor in dance. Throughout her time at EKU, Naomi was an active participant with EKU Dance Theatre program. She was a former officer, a dancer for 5 years, and choreographer for 4.5 years for the group completing 14 pieces. During her time in this program she received awards for “Most Outstanding Newcomer "her freshman year, “Most Outstanding Performer "her senior year, and “Best Choreography” for her piece “Energy (Never Dies)”. Since 2010, Naomi has worked at a local studio in Richmond, KY as a dance instructor, choreographer, and competition coach. During her time at BGDTC, she accumulated several achievements including “Best Choreography” for her solo piece “I See Fire” and her small group jazz “Heartbreaker”, and her large group contemporary pieces “Disorders” and “Pray”.
Her true passion is art in all its forms and feels extremely blessed to be able to share it with others. Her intricate detail to choreography and awareness of space and music are present in her work. Naomi could not be more thrilled to continue The Dance Centre legacy and to pass on the love of dance this special studio instilled in her.
