• No refunds or deductions are given for missed classes. Students are encouraged to make up a missed class within two weeks in a similar class. Attendance is especially important from February to May, as we will be working on recital choreography. No make-up classes after February 28th
PRIVATE LESSONS
Private lessons are available at a cost of $25 per half hour session. Private lessons are available to students who wish to have extra help or to make up excessive absences. Private lesson fees must be paid to The Dance Centre before each lesson begins.
CLASS PLACEMENT
The director and teachers of The Dance Centre place students in the level that will challenge the student technically while building and maintaining self-confidence. An appropriate class will be recommended for each student, and the student will be evaluated during the first few weeks of class. Level does not necessarily reflect age or grade. Please remember that each child is most successful when they progress to a new level at their own pace and not the pace of their friends. Please trust our judgment. We strongly encourage students to take at least two classes to broaden their dance abilities and discover their interests and talents.
VISITORS/OBSERVATIONS
To make every minute of class time productive and because it may be uncomfortable and distracting for children, parents and visitors are not permitted in the studio during regular class times. Instructors will regularly open the door and invite parents in to watch. Viewing windows are also available. Instructors can discuss your dancer’s/gymnast’s progress with you at a scheduled time. We will have Spirit Weeks in the Fall that parents, friends, and family will be invited to watch at the end of the class.
